Orvue is being built around a specific frustration: operating from a view you do not control.
Laparoscopic surgeons work from a picture directed by an assistant. Communicating what you want to see, while operating, is a constant low-level task running underneath the procedure itself.
It is familiar enough to be treated as a given. It does not have to be.
The company was founded in part by a practising surgeon, and the design intent has been consistent: put the view back with the person operating.
We want to hear from laparoscopic surgeons, including those sceptical about the premise. The device is in development and is not available for clinical use.
